i may have to bite my tongue. really, really hard.
my least favorite kid, lacey, happens to bring along the baggage of my least favorite mom, who for simplicity's sake we will call mrs lacey. after much kerfuffle about choreography fees and parents not being allowed to come in and watch during chor time, lacey came in to do her floor routine today. at the end of lacey's time, mrs lacey and i were actually having a nice, normal, casual conversation, during which she happened to inquire if i was in school. when i told her how i was trying to save money for vet school, and how much of a joke the prospect of saving money on a little-more-than-minimum-wage-job is, she mentioned that the relatively big corporation she works in the office of happens to be hiring, including one 'really boring' office gopher/very low level admin position that pays $28,000. which is, oh, let's say oodles more than i presently make, doing a job for another big corporation that is also really boring and involves taking a lot of crap from any idiot who rents a movie.
(difference is, of course, her corporation isn't the one slowly going bankrupt. let's think job security, here.)
i am willing to be bored. for enough money to get my ass to vet school, i am so willing that it is nearly ridiculous.
if mrs lacey were in any way to contribute to me getting a job that not only rescued me from retail hell, but paid me enough to actually make an appreciable difference, i would certainly have to shut up and pretend that i don't dislike her intensely. never mind her physically choice (altho' tallish, but possibly just a premature grower) but mentally useless daughter, who actually hasn't been too much of a brutal annoyance since the holidays, but who i still wish were Someone Else's Problem.
i tell you, i'm tasting a little blood right now. musn't sever the tongue.
watching - 'the island', finally. and goddess save me, i did not know sean bean was in this movie. *wibble* bad hair. accent still to die for. LOVE. THIS. MAN. he should not be allowed to be in the same movie as ewan. it is overloading my hormones.
