progress! [ April 11, 2005, 2:07 am ]

today was my first real test of the medication experiment. i coached until two p.m., and because of a series of mistakes and misunderstandings (most of them mine), had the night off because, well, i booked it off and didn't need it off after all. it's a long and uninteresting story.

upon coming home, i not only stayed awake but never particularly felt the urge to fall asleep. hell, i even read half a book and watched a movie (then went back and re-watched about a third of it to verify that the scene in which the heist takes place in ocean's twelve is actually NEVER SHOWN IN THE MOVIE, which is an enormous piss off, cuz i like to have a fighting chance to see the twist coming when i know it's going to happen, and that's just not fair), two things that are guaranteed to make me dopey, and survived an attack of Fat Eyes (itchy sticky goopy allergy eyes) which is also inclined to make me sleepy as my eyes already feel like they're drooping.

i dare say (*looks about for wood to knock on*) the experiment may be headed in a positive direction. i may yet rejoin the world of the living and wide-awake.
